Annual Essay Contest Announced - Friday, January 23, 2015
 The Essex County Bar Foundation is pleased to announce its Annual Essay Contest, co-sponsored by the Essex County Bar Association’s Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.  This contest is open to all Essex County students in grades 3 through 12.  The topic for this year’s essay is: “How are people affected by hidden disabilities?” Specific contest details are contained in the attached rules.  Winners in each age category will receive monetary awards. Click here for the full list of rules.

A recent inquiry on behalf of a locally based mediator as to how cases are assigned caused us to re-examine the process. Civil cases eligible for mediation pursuant to R. 1:40-4, et seq., are assigned by court staff to mediators listed on the Superior Court of New Jersey Roster of Civil Mediators List.
